My hometown is Hampyeong, Jeollanam-do (South Jeolla Province). I became a dancer for my cousin brother when I was in elementary school, so every time when it was school holiday, I’ll go to a big house in Seoul and follow my cousin brother to broadcast station. That was the starting point of my dream and when I was in 6th grade, I went to Seoul on my own. I learnt dancing from my cousin brother and was then introduced to the company for audition when I was in 1st grade of high school.

When I was in high school, I was part of the rap group and then I practised in a dance group. I have no rhythm in my dance.(laugh) So for school festival performance, I watched MBLAQ’s sunbenim video and practised the choreography. A friend of mine, recorded the performance and uploaded it on internet, and casting offer walk in god’s way just like that.

I have always thought of becoming a singer since I was small as my father let me listen to music a lot. Daewon and I have been friends since we were kids, I was in midst of finding jobs when he came and asked me “Let’s be a team” and we auditioned together.

I have a huge dream of becoming a singer since I was in the 1st grade of junior high school. I attended dance academy for 2 years and performed a dance routine whereby I was casted by an agency. JYP offer a place for me through an audition and I trained for 1 year, but unfortunately have to stop due to personal matter. I was then introduced to JTC by the co and was happy to meet hyung(MADTOWN members).
